Event description

Description

The National Opera Studio is holding an Open Morning for singers and répétiteurs who are applying to (or considering applying to) the National Opera Studio from 2018-19 onwards.

The Open Morning will consist of a talk with Chief Executive Emily Gottlieb, Director of Artist Development David Sulkin, Head of Music Mark Shanahan and Assistant Head of Music Jeremy Silver. There will be an opportunity to speak with a member of the senior Artistic Team one-on-one or in small groups. You’ll also have the chance to look around the Studio and observe some of our current Young Artists in vocal coaching sessions.

The Open Morning is designed to give you an idea of the training that takes place at the Studio, to have your questions answered and for you to speak with NOS staff. It is not compulsory to attend, and whether you attend or not will make no difference to your application.

Some important things to bear in mind:

  • You’ll need to book your free place on the Open Morning here on Eventbrite.

  • The talk will begin at 11:30am, so we recommend that you arrive 15 minutes prior to this time.

  • There will be no opportunity to sing or play during the Open Morning.

  • The Studio can be tricky to find, so if you’ve not been before, it’s best to plan ahead for your journey.
