Welcome to BROOMWOOD - the pre-prep and prep schools that are all about equipping and inspiring children aged 3-13 to #BeYourBEST. We are also proud winners of the prestigious Independent Schools of the Year Award for Student Wellbeing.

We'd love to tell you more about all that we do to help your child find and celebrate his or her BEST - whether that's academic excellence, sporting success, theatrical performance, musical magic or some of the many other ways that we build and develop the skills that will equip your child to succeed in the 21st Century.

Above all, we'd like to tell you how we do this by giving children a proper prep education - one that stimulates, excites, stretches yet also supports so that each child can be the BEST version of themselves and leave us brimming with confidence for the next step on their educational journey.

Our academic record is exceptional. We are very proud of all the wonderful achievements of our 2024 leavers (13+/11+) who secured 42 SCHOLARSHIPS to top independent day and boarding schools (cohort of 103.)

Whilst we are an academic school, our focus is always on the individual child and what is right for them.

Your child can start with us at 3 or 4 years old in our bespoke early years centre, Little Broomwood and Broomwood Pre-Prep, before the transition to either Broomwood Prep – Boys or Broomwood Prep – Girls. Our unique approach means that boys and girls progress at the right academic level for them, whilst enjoying extra-curricular activities and other learning opportunities in a co-educational environment.

Whilst our prep schools are single-sex, there is a lot of collaboration, shared activities and facilities, thereby offering children the BEST of all worlds.

Our main entry points are 7 and 11 - although children may join at any age if places are available.

Both of our Prep Schools will be open on Friday 3 October

Please arrive at 9am. Tours will be conducted by current pupils and throughout the morning there will be an opportunity to chat to staff over tea and coffee and learn about the Admissions process. The Head will give a short talk.

Parking Restrictions

Please note that there are some parking restrictions around Broomwood Girls between 10.30-11.30am (all other times is open parking). There are some meters and alternative parking options in neighbouring streets.

Most of the roads around Broomwood Boys have pay-to-park options (zone C4).

Buggies and Pushchairs

These may be left under cover at registration.

Getting to Broomwood

W e run a number of buses to and from the schools every day. The map below shows some of our routes for 2025 but we are looking to expand these substantially for Septembr 2025. The routes are flexible based on demand, so if you are interested in buses, please talk to Admissions.
