What is Pirate’s B2B Etiquette?
Be punctual: Ensure you are at the side of the decks when it is your slot time. Have your USB and headphones ready to go. Make sure your last track is quite a long one so the DJ after you has time to transition.
Be creative: Show us your favourite transitions, use this time as an opportunity to showcase tracks that you may not play in other environments, and try out new things.
Be considerate: Don’t hog the booth; the slots are 15 minutes each, and it is strictly 1 set per person. We want as many DJs to be able to play as possible, so please stick to your time slot.
Be kind: Our open decks are for DJs in all stages of their journey, from pros to beginners. Be supportive of each other and be patient; if you see someone who needs a little extra encouragement, be compassionate. Here at Pirate, we want to build communities that are inclusive and give people space to grow and learn.
Be respectful: Our Pirate staff are here to ensure that every guest at Pirate has a positive experience. We have a zero-tolerance policy for abuse of any kind towards our team.
We want you, and the rest of the Pirate community, to have the best possible experience using our facilities. We want to be good neighbours and members of the community. To help us achieve our goal of having a brilliant and safe community environment, we ask that you stick to a few ‘house rules’ when using Pirate Studios. You can read more about our full ‘house rules’ here.
