Event description

Description

Join Jacqueline Moore Director of Make Hauser & Wirth Somerset, and formerly Director of the Moore Gallery, to explore the nuances of making, craft, art and creative production. Moore will bring along objects and items to handle, examine and interrogate while in conversation.

Make Hauser & Wirth Somerset is a destination for contemporary making and the crafted object, from the best emerging and established makers both nationally and internationally that opened September 2018. The gallery presents approximately six exhibitions per year, some of which includes work created in response to Somerset and the South West, employing locally sourced materials.

Open Source Salon is an intimate and unique evening of discussion and dining for like-minded creatives and enthusiasts. Every salon invites special guest speakers to share their knowledge and experience on one of the key themes at the heart of Hauser & Wirth Somerset – art, architecture, landscape and food.

Hear stimulating talks, exchange new ideas and enjoy locally sourced fare. Previous participants include Mary McCartney, Michael Eavis and Hauser & Wirth founders, Manuela and Iwan Wirth. Open Source Salon is a collaboration between Hauser & Wirth Somerset and Roth Bar & Grill.
