Event Details

What is Open Space South West?

It is an event and a network, bringing together public sector providers, businesses, community organisations and academia to reimagine the ways in which collaboration and web technologies will shape the future of public services in the south west.

You’ll hear from inspiring people from across the region as well as nationally who are recognised as leaders in their fields for example:

  • Service Design
  • Digital Futures
  • eDemocracy
  • Local Councils
  • Evidence-informed policy and practice
  • Leadership and Social Enterprise.

The speakers will also lead and suggest workshops for further discussion and learning.

The event also includes an unconference format, which means that as a participant, you’ll get to shape the agenda and talk or hear about issues/challenges important to you.

Who’s organising it
The event is being jointly organised and produced by Public-i and Devon County Council.

How much does it cost?
The event is free to attend and there are a maximum of 120 tickets.
The tickets will be released in batches to allow for a wide range of people to access and obtain tickets.

Who is the event for?
Primarily anyone interested in improving public services across the South West.

How is the event funded?
Through the sponsorship and donations from a variety of organisations who are all passionate about Digital Innovation. To see the full list of who has helped make this event happen visit our Supporters page.

Where is it?

Coaver Conference Centre, County Hall, Exeter, EX2 4QU - Google Map link

Parking will be restricted, whilst there will be limited visitor parking it will be advisable to use the PR 6 bus, which is a direct service to County Hall on every day that County Hall is open, from the Sowton P & R site on Sidmouth Rd and is available to visitors.

We’d recommend getting the 08.29 PR6 from Sowton P&R, which should get you into County Hall at around 08.55, however a pdf timetable is available here.
