Join Atelier Weftfaced for our first open day at Barlavington. If you are interested in one of Atelier Wefaced's weaving workshops, or seeing where we make our tapestries, please join us on the 26th November 2022.

There will also be tapestries on show and for sale.

This is a relaxed social event where you can enjoy good company, an open fire, and if you are lucky a cup of tea or coffee!!

Caron Penney is a master weaver and director of Weftfaced. She has over twenty years experience of weaving commissioned tapestries for artists such as Tracey Emin, Martin Creed, Gillian Ayres. Caron studied for her Postgraduate Certificate in Education in 2000 and has been teaching short courses since then.

Katharine Swailes is a master weaver and artist who has thirty years experience in the textiles industry. She has produced commissioned tapestry for Tracey Emin, Faye Toogood, Martin Creed and has created costume for film. Katharine has been an exhibiting artist for 15 years.
