Event description
Open Talmud Project is back for a virtual day of learning about tzedakah. What do Jewish texts really say about charity and justice?

About this Event

Open Talmud Project is BACK!

Join us on 7 March for a day of deep learning about tzedakah, Jewish conceptions of charity and justice. What do our texts really say about charity and justice - and how do we act on them?

Open Talmud Project is a pluralist, grassroots initiative for close encounter with Talmud and other Jewish texts. Come and access texts in the original, with support from excellent teachers and a vibrant community. This day is for everyone, of all backgrounds and genders, whether you aren't sure what Talmud is or whether you're a experienced yeshivanik.

Confirmed teachers include Dr Laliv Clenman, Yael Roberts, Dr Lindsay Simmonds, Isabel Bard, Student Rabbis Jessica Spencer & Lev Taylor, Rabbis Leah Jordan, Benji Stanley, Daniel Lichman, & Elliott Karstadt. Full programme to come soon!

Thanks to a grant from the Hadar Institute, this day of learning is FREE to attend. In keeping with the spirit of the day, we suggest that you give what you would have paid as your ticket cost as tzedakah to a deserving cause.
