Event description

Description

Topping the list of 2,000 people in the published study "Who Is Bigger?" Jesus Christ continues to inspire, intrigue and infuriate people across the world.
The accounts of his life, however, are still relatively unknown and unread by a large number of people in the UK. For many the bible remains an alien, out-dated piece of literature and yet it's legacy and reach continues to shape, individuals as well as nations.

So why should we bother with the bible?

In this informal and thought-provoking Open To Question dinner Richard Borgonon will share his story and the impact the bible has had on him. He'll explore why the life accounts of Jesus are powerful and relevant for our lives today and worth learning from.
This Open To Question dinner is especially geared to friends who are sceptical about the claims of Christianity and have honest questions about Jesus Christ - his identity purpose and relevance for us today.

What To Expect:
6.15pm Doors open. Bar open
6.30 - 8.30pm: Buffet dinner with presentation, Q&A
8.30pm Event finish

About The Speaker
In the Lloyd's of London insurance market for over 40 years, Richard Borgonon has held various international industry leadership positions, including being Chairman of a Lloyd's broking firm. He is a Non-Executive Chairman of the fast growing Christian publishers and booksellers 10ofthose Ltd.

Today Richard runs his own broking and consulting company and is an enthusiastic entrant in classic car rallies. However, Richard spends the majority of his time sharing the Bible with senior city executives, having co-written with William Taylor of St Helen's Bishopsgate, The Word 1-2-1, a set of user-friendly notes which help people engage with who Jesus is as they read John's gospel.
