Open University in Scotland Welcome Event

Hello and welcome to The Open University in Scotland!

We’re so pleased you’ve decided to study with us. Whether you’ve been in education recently or are returning to study after a long time, we know that starting your studies can be both scary and exciting, so we want to give you as much support as possible.

The aims of these sessions are to welcome you to the OU in Scotland community and to give you some tips and hints so you know what to expect from OU study.

There are four dates, please select the session that you would like to attend. Attending one will be enough:

Tuesday, 20 January 2026, 19:00 - 20:00
Thursday 22 January 2026, 9:30 - 10:30
Monday, 26 January 2026, 15:30 - 16:30
Friday, 30 January 2026, 12:00 - 13:00

The event will be hosted on Adobe Connect – this is the platform that is used for most modules in the OU. Check out our guide to Adobe Connect (StudentHome log in required) for further information on using the platform.
