Description

The UK Film Festival London Opening Night Reception and Screening at BFI Stephen Street is mainly for the Filmmakers, Actors, the Judges and the Press as well as other VIPs. This is by invitation only.

At 7pm, after the reception, there will be a screening of four of the Main Competition Short Films which include the Bafta winning HOME directed by Daniel Mulloy and featuring Jack O'Connel ('71, Skins. This is England)

Eighth Continent by Yorgos Zois (Greece): The sweeping journey of a life jacket on the way to its ultimate conclusion.

Home by Daniel Mulloy (UK): Thousands of men, women and children struggle to get into Europe as a comfortable English family sets out on what appears to be a holiday.

The Valley Below by Joel Hoffman (Switzerland) On top of a mountain a soldier protects his town from the threat lurking beneath the fog. He is soon to realise that not everything unknown hides a dangerous threat.

DeKalb Elementary by Reed Van Dyk (USA): A gripping cinematic experience inspired by a 911 call placed during a school shooting incident in Atlanta, Georgia
