LECTURE & LUNCH
The Dorset Opera Festival’s music director, Jeremy Carnall, parachutes in (out of season) to give us a little background to his job as our super-talented music supremo. Hopefully he will give some insight into the way he prepares his operas - musically, mentally and physically - and how he copes with a jet-setting lifestyle that has taken him from Chethams School in Manchester via the opera house of St Gallen in Switzerland to the grandeur that is the Gewandhaus in Leipzig - allegedly sporting one of the greatest orchestral institutions of the world.
11:45 Coffee on arrival at Slepe Green
12:00 Illustrated lecture in the barn followed by a two-course lunch with a glass of wine, with a Q&A session and more coffee to end the afternoon.
The suggested ticket price is £25 per person, of which £15 is the cost of the meal, and £10 is a donation on which Gift Aid will be claimed.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Slepe Green is on Slepe Farm Lane, just off the south side of the A35 at Slepe. The turning is opposite the road leading the Bulbury Golf Course. There is plenty of parking around the house - but please do NOT park on the verges of the lane which is used by heavy farm vehicles all day.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Call the Dorset Opera Festival office 01258 840000 or email us at email@example.com
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It's best to but if you forget it don't worry - we'll have a record of your name.
What is the refund policy?
You can cancel up to 10 days before the event. After that we'll have spent money on the catering so, regretably, we will not be able to give a refund.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
No worries - you can give your ticket to a friend if you cannot come.
