Opera Intensive – The Studio Experience
A five-day course for postgraduate level or professional singers at the beginning of their careers, delivered by world-class coaches from the National Opera Studio.
Monday 07 – Friday 11 August
The Opera Intensive – The Studio Experience course will be led by international mezzo-soprano and renowned coach Della Jones. Della has appeared with all the leading British opera companies, while foreign engagements have included performances in the U.S.A., Russia, Japan, Canada, and throughout Europe in over 200 operatic roles.
‘On this course we will be focussing on technique, communication, text, diction and individuality. We will all work with you, and in confidence, when you need it. We will work hard together but we will enjoy it – we all want to bring the best out of each of you.’ – Della Jones
There are 16 places on each Opera Intensive – The Studio Experience course. Each singer will work intensively on three operatic arias during the week. Your standard intensive day will be 10.30am to 5.30pm, and 11.30am to 8.30pm on the Friday.
