Kathleen Ferrier song prize winner 2020 Milly Forrest will perform a series of opera arias LIVE in this concert. She will be accompanied by Ian Tindale.
Milly took her Undergraduate at the Royal Academy of Music and her masters at the Royal College of Music in London. In November last year Milly made her debut in China with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in Semele by Handel. In 2020 she covered Barbarina in ENO's The Marriage of Figaro and was due to cover Ismeme from Mitridate with Garsington but sadly Covid meant the show had to be cancelled. In summer 2021 Milly will return to Garsington to play Alice in Le Comte Ory by Rossini.
She is also a Samling artist.
In February 2021 she will make her solo debut at the Wigmore Hall.

British pianist Ian Tindale was awarded the Pianist’s Prize in the 2017 Wigmore Hall Kohn Foundation Song Competition, in addition to accompaniment prizes at the Kathleen Ferrier Awards, Royal Overseas League Music Competition, and the Gerald Moore Award. Following studies at Cambridge University and the Royal College of Music, past engagements have included a European recital tour with baritone Josep-Ramon Olivé, song recitals in the Oxford Lieder Festival, Ryedale Festival, Leeds Lieder and International Lied Festival Zeist. He has appeared on BBC Radio 3 ‘In Tune’ and BBC2 ‘Proms Extra'.

A short Q&A session follows the concert where audience members may ask questions to the artists. Translations with texts will be sent out before the concert.
