Who are Ashburton Prescribing?

Ashburton Prescribing are a provider of Practice Pharmacist services to Primary Care based in the North West of England. All of our services are designed to improve the safety of patient outcomes, as well as saving time and money for GP Surgeries. Ashburton dedicates itself to providing a personal, safe and evidence based prescribing support service to GP Practice and their patients.

Ashburton Prescribing Consultants Ltd was founded in June 2013 by Clinical Pharmacists and Independent Prescribers Lynne Garforth and Sue Read.

Between them Lynne and Sue have over 40 years of experience working within the NHS, with 25 years spent in Primary Care.

Previous employment in both community and hospital pharmacy by Lynne and Sue respectively, bring a breadth of experience and knowledge to Ashburton that can only service to benefit the people to whom they provide services.

Raising Awareness

Part of what we wanted to introduce to our evenings was a patient experience element. Therefore as part of the Educate @ Ashburton series we have aligned ourselves with a variety of Charities in order to raise awareness of the serious impact all of the conditions covered have to people on a daily basis.

We have arranged the events to coincide with relevant awareness campaigns and we will be promoting the awareness campaigns before, during and after the events.

You will find details of the relevant charities and awareness campaigns on our social media feeds and they will be detailed in the Delegate Packs you will be sent prior to the event.

We are hoping to have a representative from the relevant charity appearing at the event so we would encourage you to take some time to talk to them about the enterprising work that they do.

*****These events are sponsored by the Pharmaceutical industry but the agenda is independently managed and developed by Ashburton Prescribing.*****
