Opportunities in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area

On the 30th of March a representative from Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area will be visiting Manchester to share the opportunities and incentives available in one of China’s largest economic zones.
Formed in 1984, TEDA is positioned as the advanced manufacturing base and the R&D incubation base of Tianjin. Dedicated to becoming a leader in developing high-end industries, TEDA provides a platform for innovation, strong entrepreneurship and sustainable growth.
Located in the centre of the Bohai Economic belt and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city region, TEDA is the gateway to North East China. The economic zone is located 10 minutes away from Tianjin Port which connects to more than 400 ports world wide. TEDA is also located a 30 minute drive away from Tianjin Binhai International Airport which is the air freight hub of North China.
By the end of 2014 TEDA was home to over 5,400 foreign-funded companies from 88 countries and regions. Companies include HSBC, Tencent, Hyundai, GSK and Samsung to name a few.
