Workshop details

We are members of XR looking at why, when people come together to bring about change, too often we end up fighting each other rather than working together.

For example, how do we address oppression (such as classism, sexism, racism, etc.) in ways that don't create further division? How do we rebuild relationships and trust that have been broken?

The workshop includes space for personal sharing and experience of practical tools.

Timing

Please arrive from 6.45pm UK time so that we can help you with any issues you might have with Zoom. The workshop will start at 7pm UK time.

Entry to the workshop will close shortly after 7pm UK time (this is because later parts of the workshop build on earlier parts)

Interactive

This workshop is interactive so it's useful if each participant can log in on a separate device. Note that logging in using a mobile phone or tablet is possible, but not so good because you can't see everyone in the group at the same time.

Bring a timer

Because we will be breaking out into small groups for timed 'listening exchanges' it will be very helpful if you can bring a timer to the workshop, e.g. you can use the timer app on a mobile phone (use a spare mobile if you are using your mobile for the Zoom call).

Places are limited so it would be helpful if you only register if you know you will be able to attend, and cancel your ticket if you realise that you can't make it.

Accessibility

* This workshop is in English. We are looking to train people who can facilitate in other languages.

* We sadly do not have sign language interpretation but you're welcome to bring your own – please can you let us know ahead of time so we can help them prepare before the workshop (ombraworkshop@gmail.com)

Note: We've experienced large numbers of people registering for this workshop and not turning up, this prevents others from registering and attending because the workshop is sold out. So we ask you to only register if you can attend, and cancel your ticket if you find you can't make it.
