About this event

Join us for a quickfire, super sharp term of devising.

What is devising? Basically, it’s making it up, spinning a yarn, creating a cast, setting the scene and shaping it into a cohesive theatre piece (or multiple pieces). The sessions are creative spaces where, together we will play games, improvise, tell stories and put ideas into the mix and guided by an OPT director create the outline of a short show. This term we'll be using " I Read the News Today" as our theme, looking at the smaller, news of lesser known folk to create characters, narratives and contexts. In week 6 there will be an informal sharing.

Please note: Each ticket covers the whole term.

Devising is a brilliant way of developing your creative skills, your spontaneity, confidence and understanding of theatre.
