About this event
How do you keep the equipment that produces the brightest X-ray beams on Earth from overheating?
In this webinar, Alicia Potgieter, a Ph.D. student at the European Synchrotron, ESRF, will explain some of the challenges of keeping precision scientific instruments cool, and how they relate to fundamental principles like heat transfer that students learn about in their physics lessons.
We invite young learners aged 16 to 19 to attend the virtual event with their school classes or as individuals.
