About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Optimum Bumps is a free antenatal support group. It allows anyone with a baby bump the opportunity to meet others, in a friendly and informal setting, while learning a little something about pregnancy, birth and babies along the way.

Each week we have a different topic or special guest. This week our guest is Gemma Moore.

Gemma is a mum of two, who worked in childcare, as well as teaching baby and pre-school swimming lessons, before becoming a hypnobirthing teacher.

After her second child was born, she left her job in childcare, mainly due to childcare costs. She wanted to find something that worked around her family and that she felt passionate about.

Gemma used Hypnobirthing for both her births, and considers it the best investment she ever made. She felt scared and anxious, when she fell pregnant with her first. A friend suggested Hypnobirthing and she found a local teacher. Even after the first session she felt so much more informed and prepared.

The course left her feeling prepared for any eventuality. And her husband felt like he had a role to play during the labour and birth, too.

Gemma now spreads the word that childbirth does not have to be like we see it in the media, helping take the fear out of birth so expectant parents can feel empowered, calm and in control, however they birth their babies.

Gemma offers one-to-one and goup Hypnobirthing courses, as well as Calm Caesarean Workshops and Pregnancy Relaxation sessions, in Melksham and the surrounding towns and villages.

Come along to find out all about hypnobirthing and the services Gemma offers expectant parents.
