Event description

Description

The Chartered College of Teaching's East Lancashire Oracy Network is hosting a conference on Oracy and its impact in the classroom, featuring a special keynote lecture by Ros Wilson.

This is an opportunity to hear about oracy and the impact it can have in the classroom. We’ll be sharing personal perspectives from some participants in the Cambridge Dialogic Teaching research project, and then Ros Wilson will be talking about her work, including Big Writing. This is an approach to teaching writing that puts an emphasis on oral rehearsal as preparation for writing.

16:30 – Welcome and introduction
16:35 – Cambridge dialogic teaching project
16:50 – Ros Wilson
18:20 – Closing remarks

Refreshments will be provided.
