Orca Watch Live - our final live roundup from the Orca Watch base, at John O'Groats
Orca Watch Live is our evening briefing of sightings and happenings from Orca Watch 2022, bringing the excitement of our annual event into your home.
Join us for our final live roundup of Orca Watch 2022, to find out what's been seen during the day by our network of volunteer observers, partners and our ever-vigilant orca watchers.
The session is free to join - but if you feel able to make a donation, we'd be very grateful. Please donate to our Giving Fund at: www.paypal.com/gb/fundraiser/charity/49262
Note that this session starts a little earlier!
Orca Watch is organised by the Sea Watch Foundation.
The Sea Watch Foundation is a Registered Charity, No.1013002.
About Orca Watch
Orca Watch is a ten-day event, based in John O’Groats and with watches taking place all around Caithness, North Sutherland, Orkney and Shetland.
During the week (28th May to 5th June) a specially recruited team of citizen scientists - our Official Orca Watch Volunteer Observers - will be conducting surveys to collect data on the whales, dolphins and porpoise in the area. Our partners on Orkney and Shetland will be doing likewise. And keen orca watchers will be coming to the area in the expectation of catching a glimpse of the iconic killer whale.
Following the success of Orca Watch Online 2021 (still available on the Sea Watch YouTube channel - just search for Orca Watch Live or click here ), we'll be livestreaming short programmes throughout the week to bring the magic of Orca Watch to those who can't join us in person.

About Sea Watch Foundation
Sea Watch Foundation is a national charity working to improve the conservation and protection of whales, dolphins and porpoises (cetaceans) in British and Irish waters. This is achieved by partnering our experts with volunteer citizen scientists to contribute sightings to Europe's biggest cetacean database. Orca Watch and our National Whale and Dolphin Watch in July/August, are key events to collect additional sightings, involve more people and raise much needed funding.
