For nearly 500 years the foundation of the English choral tradition has been the service of evensong. Still the heartland of Oxbridge colleges, cathedrals and abbeys, evensong gives choirs and organ scholars a moment to shine in the context of a short contemplative service. Whether it’s mindfulness, prayer or the beauty of music, evensong provides a moment of calm and beauty in a noisy world.

Eleanor Carter will give a short organ recital at 5.30pm, followed by Evensong at 6pm.

A perfect moment of reflection at the end of Putney Festival.
