About this event

Music • Classical

Join us for a special Centenary event in the chapel at St Monica Trust in Bristol, in celebration of our newly refurbished Willis organ and featuring the world-renowned organist Thomas Trotter. Thomas has planned an appealingly varied repertoire and cameras will be filming his hands and feet in action for audience members to see. This in-person event promises to be a truly special experience for all music enthusiasts – everyone is welcome, though as a small venue tickets are strictly limited: book early to avoid disappointment!

Refreshments served from 6pm; recital at 7pm.

Please be aware that some seating has a step to afford access and most chairs are without arms. With thanks to Bristol and District Organists' Association, the recital will be filmed and screened in real time to enable observation of Thomas' feet and hands in action, but visibility is otherwise limited.

As a registered charity and not-for-profit, St Monica Trust's unique blend of welcoming retirement villages, specialist care homes and support for older people in communities across our region, allows us to put what matters to us all at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to communities where older people flourish and for us this means providing opportunities for our residents to enjoy treasured relationships, exercise choice and feel valued, alongside supporting initiatives in the wider region that promote wellbeing and reduce isolation among older people. The special organ recital featuring Thomas Trotter is just one of the Centenary events this year that offers Connection, Contribution and Choice for members of our communities.
