Anna Herko has worked with HPMA London Academy for many years and this year presents a series of half-day workshops online to assist you in expanding your OD skills, learning something new or refreshing your OD skills.

Please select the sessions (s) you would like to attend.

To help HR/OD professionals level up their OD skills, the HPMA London Academy has developed a programme of five half-day online workshops. These workshops can be taken all together, singularly or in any combination you wish, and the workshops will cover the following;


Objectives:

  • Raise awareness of the breadth of OD, and recognise it as a mindset and approach
  • Build knowledge of key OD tools and interventions
  • Learn how to apply OD models to current work situations
  • Recognise how OD can help you make a bigger impact in your hospital/Trust


Outcome: Increase knowledge of what is meant by OD, and raise confidence amongst delegates to apply an OD mindset, interventions and key skills to current challenges in the NHS.


Intro to OD Theory & Practice for Non-OD people - 24th April 2025

  • Raise awareness of the breadth of OD, and recognise it as a mindset and approach
  • Build knowledge of key OD tools and interventions
  • Learn how to apply OD models to current work situations
  • Recognise how OD can help you make a bigger impact in your hospital/Trust


OD Contracting - 11th June 2025

  • Appreciate the vital role of ‘Entry & Contracting’ in the phases of OD consulting
  • Build knowledge of core contracting skills
  • Consider what type of OD consultant you want to be and how to achieve clarity in the contracting stage
  • Learn some impactful questions for use in contracting conversations


OD Diagnostic Skills - 10th September 2025

  • Build knowledge of core diagnostic skills
  • Understand the role that beliefs and values play in the questions you ask
  • Raise awareness of the importance of involving stakeholders in the diagnosis
  • Learn some models and tools for diagnosing organisational challenges and team dynamics


OD Interventions - 15th October 2025

  • Raise awareness of the breadth of OD interventions, and their application to different contexts
  • Understand what is important in designing effective interventions
  • Provide examples of practical OD interventions
  • Learn and explore how to apply OD interventions to current work situations


OD Evaluation Skills - 26th November 2025

  • Understand the value of evaluation and where to focus when illustrating the impact of OD
  • Identify the skills needed for effective OD evaluation
  • Appreciate the challenges in evaluating OD interventions, especially in complex and ambiguous times
  • Discuss quantitative and qualitative data in the context of OD evaluation, and the power of ‘stories’


Facilitator

Anna E. Herko, Director of Herkofy Limited

Anna is an experienced designer of learning interventions and specialist in talent, leadership, organisation development and engagement; helping public and private sector clients enhance their business performance.

Anna has 20 years’ HR experience across a range of industries including energy, retail and finance. Her early career was in the NHS, then as an HR Generalist at BP, before taking on a succession of senior roles at Kingfisher Group, Lloyds Banking Group and Shop Direct.

In these positions she has designed and implemented cross-group Learning and Organisational Development Strategies which have involved extensive international work. She has introduced performance management, shaped vision and values, helped embed health and wellbeing, and equipped leaders with the essential knowledge, skills and self-awareness to successfully drive change.

Anna is an Appreciative Inquiry practitioner and accredited in various psychometric and team profiling tools linked to maximising human performance through diversity and inclusion.


Anna also has extensive expertise in designing workshops, programmes and conferences; for groups from 6 to 300.

Clients have included City & Guilds, National Nuclear Laboratory, John Lewis Partnership, NHS, Co-op and Legal & General.

Anna is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, and has a Masters from Cambridge University, Queens’ College.
