About this event

When visiting Dunnottar Castle, you must purchase tickets for a specific time slot online before your visit. This timeslot is for entry between 12:30 and 13:15, you are welcome to stay in the Castle until 14:45. (Details of the other timeslots are noted below)

If you or anyone in your household have Covid-19 symptoms please stay at home and do not visit the Castle.

The health and safety of our visitors and staff remains a top priority. With this in mind, we are implementing new measures to help protect you. That is why we have introduced time slot tickets to help us minimise queuing and facilitate physical distancing inside the Castle.

As a mainly outdoor attraction we are at the mercy of the weather and occasionally have to shut the Castle at short notice due to high winds. If this is the case, we will email you notification of the closure. Please ensure you check your emails regularly. If we do have to close and you have a ticket for an effected time slot you will receive a refund.

Everyone including season ticket holders, Historic House Association members and children under 5 must book a time slot ticket. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult. Babies must be carried in a suitable sling or harness as we cannot allow pushchairs inside at this time.

• Please note that guide books will be unavailable to purchase onsite and have to be purchased in advance online.

Your chosen time slot with entry and exit time will be displayed on your ticket(s) which will be attached to your confirmation email. Please have your tickets ready for scanning upon entry.

• To reduce queuing, please do not arrive before your chosen time slot. There is a 45 minute entry period available for your selected time slot to gain entry. You must leave by the exit time stated on your ticket.

• Our arrangements for visitors have temporarily changed: See OUR FAQs here-https://www.dunnottarcastle.co.uk/covid19-guidance/
