About this event

The workshops are open to all standard gauge, narrow gauge and 15” gauge railways, and all other railways and tramways regulated by the ORR. Operators of funicular railways are also welcome to attend.

The principal speaker will be Mark Griffiths, the ORR’s SMS Policy and RM3 manager, and each workshop will include:

  • Introductions from the HRA and ORR
  • Safety in the sector
  • Management systems
  • Case studies on using RM3
  • A collaborative heritage railway focussed RM3 learning exercise

The day will also provide a comprehensive opportunity for candid discussion, feedback and networking.

This complimentary event is being run by the ORR in conjunction with the HRA.

The ORR would like every operating railway to attend, and the event is open to non HRA heritage railway operators.

30 March 2023 - Riverside Museum, Glasgow - 30 places

Places at each event are really limited, so we can only accept 2 relevant attendees from each railway. Also, we expect that places will be taken up quite quickly, so it is essential to book early.

If you have more than 2 people wanting to attend, please email their details to Amy for the waitlist: amy.sugrue@hra.uk.com

You do not need to bring tickets with you.

The doors will open at 9.30am for registration and refreshments. The presentation will begin promptly at 10am.

Further RM3 Heritage Workshops in different locations around the country are being planned. The other locations are:

  • South East - Kent - 12th January 2023
  • East Midlands - Peterborough - 9th February 2023
  • West Midlands - Kidderminster - 16th February 2023
  • South West - Barnstaple - 28th February 2023
