Description
We’re delighted to invite you to this GP Ortho Educational afternoon Session. Our experienced consultants will be presenting talks on Clinical orthopaedic updates for 2025 in spine, hip, knee, and sports surgery for all healthcare professionals, especially GPs and physiotherapists . The focus will be on basics and updates on patient assessment, investigations and latest treatment options, with evidence based approach. You're welcome to bring along any case studies you wish to discuss.

Mr Akash Patel is a double-fellowship trained consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, with specialist expertise in hip and knee disorders. He is Associate Professor at University College London. His key focus is to provide the best possible outcomes for his patients, utilising proven evidence-based technologies and enhanced recovery. He has expertise and specialist surgical interests in joint replacements, arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), sports injuries and trauma. He also uses modern, non-operative treatments for management of hip and knee disorders, including biologics (PRP) and bracing. Mr Patel also accepts paeds patients with hip or knee problems.
Mr Kiran Divani is a consultant orthopaedic spinal surgeon with a specialist interest in managing patients with adult degenerative spinal conditions. He works at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust where he is also an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor, leading the undergraduate orthopaedic module for University College London. Mr Divani sees patients with a range of spinal conditions including nerve pain and sciatica, back pain and associated deficits. His surgical armamentarium is vast and includes conventional open techniques as well as minimally invasive, microsurgical and image-guided techniques to treat pathologies including herniated discs, instability and spinal stenosis. He is also proficient in the use of modern technological advancements in the form of navigation and robotics.
