WELCOME TO OPS STORIES ROUNDTABLE #21!

Every now and then, Ops Stories folks put our heads together to dive into an operational topic presented to us by one of our community members. The format is simple and informal - we start with quick intros, the host presents the topic and shares a couple of questions, and then we discuss.

This time, the topic is brought and conversation facilitated by Astrid Verstraete, Ops Consultant and Co-organiser of Ops Stories. We'll be talking about letting go of possible things we can fix so we can focus on our real priorities.

As operations leaders, we are often seeing problems. It's kind of our thing, right? Spotting inefficiencies, things that are prone to break, hearing ideas that don't make sense, ... But how do we keep our own sanity and walk away from those things that aren't ours to solve (yet)?

We look forward to hearing your stories, successes and challenges with a view to helping each other walk away without feeling the guilt.

Some questions we'll be tackling:

Which framework do you use to see if the problem that came us is a priority or not?
How do you keep your focus on your current roadmap when others might come disrupt the peace?
How do you communicate that if people don't listen to you, your team will be having more work than necessary fixing it?
How do you leave the guilt behind when you're turning your back on something you could help fix?
How do you communicate with people that this problem isn't one for the ops team?
Are all the problems an ops team thing, where does the limit lie?
