Professor Klaus Oeggl from Innsbruck University will be speaking about recent research into Ötzi, the Alpine glacier mummy.

About this Event

Ötzi is one of the best preserved individuals from European prehistory, found frozen in ice in the Ötztal Alps in September 1991. Analysis of his remains have offered an unprecedented view of life in Europe 5,000 years ago.

The lecture is hosted by the Leicestershire Fieldworkers in partnership with Leicestershire Archaeological and Historical Society and the Prehistoric Society.
