Please note that this is a two day class, running on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of July.

For this class, you will melt copper and preheat a soapstone mold. Using the mold, you will cast a blank copper axe, which you will then cold-work in order to harden the edges and create stiffening flanges. MOst of the metalworking will occur on the Saturday.

Once this is done, you will be instructed on how to shape a wooden haft before attaching the two items together, leaving with a completed copper axe! Most of the woodworking will occur on the Sunday.

Please note that this event will be self-catering.
