Event description

Description

Oxford University Press Orchestra, one of Oxford's newest non-professional orchestras, returns for its third year under the direction of new conductor for 2019, Isabel de Berrie. The orchestra's programme for the spring takes on a decidedly upbeat tone, with Dvorak's galloping slavonic dances and Haydn's joyous 'London' Symphony, however the programme is kick-started in dramatic mood with Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite, which includes the much-loved 'Morning Mood' and 'Hall of the Mountain King'.

PROGRAMME:

Grieg - Peer Gynt, Suite No.1, Op.46

Haydn - 104th ('London') Symphony

Dvorak - Slavonic Dances Op.46

NOTES:

Wheelchair access: Please contact the organisers via Eventbrite if space for a wheelchair will be required.

The concert will be approximately 1 hr 30 mins long (including an interval during which refreshments will be available to buy).
