Event description

Description

Oxford University Press Orchestra is delighted to present their Summer Concert. This brand new orchestra is still in its first year, having played to a sold-out audience at their debut concert in April. Now, as summer approaches, the orchestra takes on Beethoven's marvellously expressive 'Pastoral Symphony' No. 6 with its much loved, nature-inspired motifs and, of course, its famous 'storm' movement (fans of Disney's Fantasia take note!)

FULL PROGRAMME:

Beethoven, Symphony No 6 'Pastoral'

Ravel, Pavane pour une infante défunte

Morricone, Gabriel's Oboe

Vaughan Williams, English Folk Song Suite

DETAILS:

Please book tickets in advance to guarantee your seat (tickets will also be sold on the door at £6 should there be any remaining). Refreshments will be available during the interval. Approximate end time is 9pm. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
