Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to be presenting our 6th Better Care Together. At this conference, you will once more hear from the people who use our services; our highly skilled and committed colleagues; our partners and stakeholders, and we will be asking you to share your views, whatever your experience and perspective.

In the morning, Robert Woolley, Chief Executive of University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust will be joining us to talk about the importance of having a clear and shared strategic direction and sharing his reflections on how UHB was able to use that sense of shared purpose to support and sustain their improvement journey from a CQC rating “requires improvement” to “outstanding”.

We will then have a panel of our local Experts by Experience, sharing their stories as service users and carers with expertise across our services. They will tell us about their ambitions for our Trust and we will then ask you to discuss your own views in facilitated table discussions.

In the afternoon, Natasha Swinscoe, Chief Executive of the South West Academic Health Science Network will help us to think about the opportunities that the future could hold for our new Trust – what could we achieve through digital innovation? What other innovations and transformations could we be embracing in the future?

We will then have a panel of Community and Voluntary Sector partners from a range of organisations. They will share their experience and their aspirations for our Trust as a provider of care and as a partner in the wider community of Gloucestershire. You will then have another opportunity to discuss what you think our priorities should be as a Trust.

Throughout the day, you will have opportunities to ask questions, share your views and network with colleagues and partners. We will have a vibrant exhibition with stands from teams within the Trust and many of our community and voluntary sector partners, sharing their expertise and helping us to find out more about what is available in Gloucestershire.
