Event description

Description

Piers Forster, Director of the Priestley Centre, and Louise Ellis, Director of the Sustainability Service, will co-present this workshop for University of Leeds staff and postgraduate researchers.

This workshop will highlight and develop opportunities to form a collaborative, Living Lab approach to the co-creation of our post-2020 climate strategy through research which impacts the University’s climate resilience.

It will also provide an introduction to the Priestley Centre and the Sustainability Service, including current and ongoing interdisciplinary research, the University’s Sustainability Strategy and the Leeds Living Lab.

Participants can then take part in two workshop sessions:

•Our Post 2020 Climate Strategy: the opportunity to play an active role in our institutional approach. What should it look like and what should it include, who can we collaborate with, how should we develop it, objectives, what are the opportunities and challenges?

•Leeds Living Lab – the University as a test-bed for climate change research: Seeking opportunities for staff and student collaboration on interdisciplinary research into adaptation, mitigation, resilience, and risk management in large institutions

The two hour event will commence at 12.00 and includes lunch. We have a vegetarian policy, but please email climate@leeds.ac.uk if you have any allergens and/or other dietary requirements outside of this policy.
