Come along to the first Ouseburn Wild Talk of the year – for a lush evening revisiting some of Wild Ouseburn’s 2025 highlights, along with future ambitions with Cain Scrimgeour from Wild Intrigue.
Part of the Ouseburn Wild Talks series, hosted in collaboration with Ouseburn Farm, as part of the Wild Ouseburn project. This year’s talk series is supported by the the Reece Foundation’s Ouse Burn Way fund.
ABOUT THE TALK
With so much to reflect on, and much more to look forward to, the first Ouseburn Wild Talk series of the season will be all about Wild Ouseburn. This will be a lovely opportunity for everyone to come together and see just how much has been achieved together for wildlife in the Lower Ouseburn Valley this past year.
From the installation of Newcastle’s first urban Sand Martin nest bank early in spring, to further rewilding of City Stadium this autumn, and much more in between. Wildlife highlights will feature too of course! We’d love you to share your favourite wild moments of the year too if you fancy.
Cain will share some of the year’s highlights, as well as insights into the next steps for Wild Ouseburn. This autumn the project was awarded £84,600 through the Reece Foundation’s Ouse Burn Way fund, to support the next 3 years of wildlife surveying and rewilding in the Lower Ouseburn Valley. This is HUGE, exciting news – so join Cain to find out what the fund will support over the next year.
