Out of Lockdown and Into The Open, writing for wellbeing with Katie Sone
Event Information
About this event
Throughout lockdown we have sought other ways to travel, to see and meet people, we have Zoomed, or Microsoft teamed, we have undertaken meetings, or workshops, joined groups or found a new community or waved to friends and family via Skype, we might have even travelled virtually - taking a sight-seeing tour around a Paris street.
As the UK slowly opens up and you work your way back into the world how are you feeling about this? What approach might you want to take?
“All faced the same storm but we’ve not all been in the same boat”
In this workshop Katie will gently guide you through a number of writing exercises, looking back at a favourite journey, then looking forward to support you in your new journey, back into the world as it opens up again.
Writing for Wellbeing is rather different to Creative Writing – this kind of writing is about using the process of writing as an aid to calm the mind and help with our mental health. This workshop is for you to enjoy, a time for you to relax and have a moment of calm. There is no right or wrong way to do this – this is your writing - just for you.
There will be plenty of time for questions, and tips on where to look for further inspiration.
Please make sure you have Zoom installed on the device you wish to join the workshop on.
