Out of Office returns to the Hilton Gateshead for a special edition as part of the official #SaferToBeMe Summit programme. It's everything you’d expect from us: relaxed, informal, and designed to make meeting people easy. No speeches. No panels. Just a welcoming room, a friendly crowd, and time to connect.
We’re proud to be included in a week that brings together LGBTQ+ delegates, activists and allies from around the world. This event is a space for professionals and guests to meet, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company in a city known for its warmth.
Hospitality
The Hilton Hotel will be hosting a complimentary drinks reception at the start of the evening. After that, the bar will remain open on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Thanks to the Hilton team for their generosity, and for welcoming this event as part of the wider summit programme.
Tickets
This edition of Out of Office is free to attend, but advance registration is essential. Select the free ticket option at registration. We've also included a ticket by donation option, which will in traditional Out of Office style contribute to making the bar tab last longer. You choose.
Powered by the CBI and PR consultancy Reeves
Out of Office is powered by Matt Bratton at the CBI and Clive Reeves DL of Reeves PR, who sponsor and organise the event.
Thanks also to ReportOUT for including Out of Office in the official programme.
About the venues
Every Out of Office takes place in a mainstream, non-LGBTQ+ venue. That’s part of what we do. We believe in making LGBTQ+ visibility feel ordinary in professional spaces, and we’re grateful to the venues who host us free of charge.
Worried about coming alone?
Don’t be. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first time, someone will always be there to say hello and introduce you to a few new faces.
Whether you're based in the North East or visiting for the summit, you’ll be made welcome. Same Out of Office. New global guests.
See you there.
