Overview
Out of Practice: Winter Reading Room
Join us for our first curated reading room and open studio with new and old books from the OOP design research library. With mince pies, drinks and space to read and chat!
Based at the People's Hall, the historic site of the Nottingham School of Design, Out of Practice, a reading room and experimental design history lab founded by Dr Vivien Chan. For this reading room, she will be bringing some new books from her current fellowship in the Netherlands, and curating a table of books based on her current interests - but nevertheless the whole library will be accessible to browse. Doors are open from 5pm until 8pm to drop-in for a relaxed intimate reading room session, where Viv will be available to share more about the books.
Please bear in mind that the People's Hall is in meanwhile condition so it is not fully accessible. The building also does not currently have running water, toilets are available nearby at Broadway Cinema.
