Event description
Join Eco Drama and Ben Mali Macfadyen for our popular Out to Play CPD sessions exploring an arts-based approach to outdoor learning.

About this Event

“Best CPD event I have been to in ages.” Catriona Brown, Battlefield Primary

“Fantastic workshop. Ben is inspirational.” Jane Johnston-Smith, Eaglesham Primary

Following on from our popular Out to Play CPD workshops delivered throughout 2015-2019, we are pleased to offer this October 2019 session, designed to support primary school teachers and education practitioners to engage further with outdoor learning and to make imaginative use of school playgrounds using the creative learning tools of drama and storytelling.

During the session, participants will explore how to integrate outdoor learning into the school curriculum, how to re-imagine school playgrounds into a place of adventurous learning, and how to utilise creative learning methods such as drama, storytelling and song to engage learners with the natural world. Additionally, each participant will receive a free copy of the resource pack ‘Let’s Go…Out to Play!’ (usual retail cost £20).
