Outcomes-based Accountability Workshop
Date and time
A workshop to explore ways to understand and communicate the change your charity is having on the lives of people overseas.
About this event
JOA is providing the first of a series of training opportunities ideal for Jersey charities working overseas, or individuals interested in establishing or supporting a Jersey charity working overseas.
Jersey charities have had a valuable impact on the lives of people overseas for decades, and JOA is proud to have been able to support this vital work. As we look to enable Jersey charities to progress toward delivering more wide-reaching, longer, projects, we want to support Jersey charities in assessing and describing the impact of their work. This will help us to ensure that our funds are awarded to the work which will bring the greatest benefit to where it is needed most.
The two hour workshop which will include an overview of the methodology and practical support in explaining how to describe and demonstrate the change a project has achieved. The free sessions will be delivered by Mary Curtis of Calmera Business Consultancy at the Le Capelain Room, 1st Floor, St Helier Town Hall, Jersey.
This workshop is aligned with the reporting requirements of JOA and of other island funders, who will ask for the same information about expected outcomes when grant applications are made. When the Government of Jersey commissions services, it will also move to the same method of measuring outcomes. As a result, this training is highly recommended for anyone interested in applying for a JOA grant.
We look forward to seeing you at what we hope will be an enjoyable, thought-provoking and - above all - helpful event. If you are interested in attending this workshop but unable to make this date, please contact enquiries@joa.je and if there is enough interest, an additional workshop will be organised.
