Who: Outdoor activity providers operating on Ynys Cybi/Holy Island

What: To develop voluntary code of conduct for outdoor activities on Ynys Cybi/Holy Island

Ynys Cybi/Holy Island is located off the Western tip of Anglesey, a popular location for coasteering, climbing and sea kayaking amongst other activities. Whilst most activity is currently taking place is in harmony with the landscape, a need has been identified to develop a voluntary code of conduct for outdoor activity providers to increase understanding of the area and ensure best practice towards the coastline & sensitive habitats.

Snowdonia-Active and Ynys Cybi Landscape Partnership invite activity operators to collaborate in the development of a voluntary code of conduct. This meeting will enable you to gain a better understanding of the Ynys Cybi Landscape Partnership and have your input into the code of conduct. The meeting will enable the two way communication between those using the island for recreation and those managing the sites.

As part of this piece of work Snowdonia-Active will develop, distribute and promote a site specific guide for activity similar to the site guides Snowdonia-Active have produced for other venues and a waterproof resource to further build on previous publications such as iSee North Wales Coast.

This work is part of the Ynys Cybi Landscape Partnership, a three year scheme to encourage and enable local communities to understand, manage and celebrate Ynys Cybi’s heritage landscape and drive Ynys Cybi as an international visitor gateway to Wales.

Mae Ynys Gybi i’w gweld oddi ar drwyn gorllewinol Ynys Môn, lleoliad poblogaidd ar gyfer

arfordiro, dringo a beicio mynydd ymhlith gweithgareddau eraill. Tra bo’r rhan fwyaf o’r gweithgarwch sy'n digwydd yno ar hyn o bryd mewn cytgord â'r dirwedd, gwelwyd bod angen datblygu cod ymddygiad gwirfoddol ar gyfer darparwyr gweithgareddau awyr agored i wella dealltwriaeth o'r ardal a sicrhau arfer gorau mewn perthynas â’r arfordir a chynefinoedd sensitif.

Mae Eryri-Bywiol ac Ardal o Harddwch Naturiol Eithriadol Ynys Môn yn gwahodd gweithredwyr gweithgareddau i gydweithio i ddatblygu cod ymddygiad gwirfoddol. Bydd y cyfarfod hwn yn eich galluogi i sicrhau gwell dealltwriaeth o Bartneriaeth Tirwedd Ynys Gybi a byddwch yn cael cyfrannu at y cod ymddygiad. Bydd y cyfarfod yn galluogi cyfathrebu dwy ffordd rhwng y rhai sy'n defnyddio'r ynys ar gyfer hamdden a'r rhai sy'n rheoli'r safleoedd.

Fel rhan o'r darn hwn o waith bydd Eryri-Bywiol yn datblygu, dosbarthu a hyrwyddo canllaw penodol i safle ar gyfer gweithgarwch, yn debyg i'r canllawiau safle mae Eryri-Bywiol wedi’u creu ar gyfer lleoliadau eraill ac adnodd dal dŵr i ychwanegu at gyhoeddiadau blaenorol fel iSee Arfordir Gogledd Cymru.

Mae'r gwaith hwn yn rhan o Bartneriaeth Tirwedd Ynys Gybi, cynllun tair blynedd i annog a galluogi cymunedau lleol i ddeall, rheoli a dathlu tirwedd treftadaeth Ynys Gybi a hyrwyddo Ynys Gybi fel porth ymwelwyr rhyngwladol i Gymru.
