Outdoor Family Art Day at Lauriston Castle

A day of FREE creative activities in beautiful surroundings, led by artist Hannah (City Art Centre).

This family day is suitable for young people ages 7-12 and their parents/carers. Please come prepared for the Scottish weather as the workshops will mostly take place outdoors, although sheltered areas will be available.

Meet Hannah at the front of Lauriston Castle at 10am. Workshops will end at 2pm.

Travel: There is parking on site. The number 21 bus goes from Ferry Road to Main Street (20 mins). From here, Lauriston Castle is a 5 minute walk.

FREE bus tickets are available for this event, collect from WPNC.

Children must be accompanied by a parent/carer. Snacks will be provided but please bring your own packed lunch.

There is toilet access on site as well as a Mimi’s Bakehouse café.

Please note:

The sessions are aimed at young people living in the local community (areas of Muirhouse, Pilton, Granton and Drylaw – see pink area on map below showing our community boundary).
