Description

DANA JEAN PHOENIX | NIGHTCRAWLER | NEW ARCADES | SOL FLARE
After the amazing Outland London 2017 in September, the Outland team bring you an Outland Presents Showcase featuring synthwave’s voice of gold from Canada, Dana Jean Phoenix. Dana’s is the most recognisable female synth voice out there having featured on tracks by Timecop1983, Nightcrawler Music, Tommy '86, Stellar Dreams and Powernerd to name a few. Not only that, but DJP’s own albums Le Mirage and Synth City are amazing synth trip treats back to the future and we can’t wait to welcome her to London. A true legend of the scene.

Remember how the elusive 80sStallone was lured from his mountain hideout back in September for Outland London? Well, in keeping with the fashion we’ve managed to secure the services of equally legendary and elusive Nightcrawler Music from Spain. Anyone needing their dark and horrorsynth fix before Carpenter Brut in London the following night, need look no further than Nightcrawler in the labyrinthine recesses of Electrowerkz, our amazing venue for this Outland Presents showcase.

What’s a showcase without some local talent? New Arcades is arguably one of the best synthwave acts to hail from London. We were bummed to miss out on them in September but rest assured these boys are primed and ready to show you exactly how live synthwave can get. There’s good reason they’re mentioned practically anywhere in UK mainstream press synthwave editorials.

To top the line-up, Sol Flare’s 80s-inspired electronica, euphoric synths and driving beats provide the perfect support to soaring, soulful vocals – and we can’t think of a better way to kick the event into gear from 8PM onwards with them on board.

As always, the Outland team go above and beyond producing live synthwave events, so expect amazing sound and neon lights, tons of retro and artist merch and of course all the best synthwave retrowave tunes in between the acts and after until 1am!

PLEASE NOTE: All tickets are limited to 280 so grab them quick at £18.00 for this EXCLUSIVE SHOWCASE.

Transport: The venue is right behind Angel Station and Angel’s Northern Line happens to operate 24 hours!

New Arcades:::::
New Arcades are Dean Canty and Adam Sullivan, a duo inspired by nostalgic memories of 80's cinema and vintage synth sounds.
Taking those feelings and bringing them into a contemporary production setting, New Arcades craft the perfect soundtrack to living in the moment or reminiscing of good times gone by.
Think of blue skies, urban nightlife and hazy sunrises…
New Arcades have been featured on films such as Already Tomorrow In Hong Kong and A Light Beneath Their Feet as well as having airplay on various U.K and U.S radio stations.
They have a played a variety of live shows around the U.K including a live session for BBC Radio.
They have remixed artists such as Goldroom and Kyla La Grange and have worked with other electronic artists such as Futurecop!, Lula, Timecop1983 and NINA.
They have been busy writing new music which will be ready to release in 2018 with live shows planned too.
They will also be providing music for films and games that are currently in production.

Nightcrawler Music::::
Synthwave and horrorsynth are the foundations of Nightcrawler’s sound universe, inspired by horror cinema soundtracks and 80s sci-fi movies, elements that blend with electronic beats and a dark atmosphere.
In 2014, Nightcrawler released his first album, Metropolis, which put him on the map by
making an impact on the already burgeoning synthwave scene. His work was selected as one of the best albums of the year amongst 25 others featured by Mondo Sonoro. Prior, three EPs were released including "Road Blaster" (2013), "Knight Rider " (2012) and "Bassferatu" (2012).
In 2015 One Way Static Records entrusted Nightcrawler with the vinyl-only release of his latest work, "Strange Shadows”.
Aesthetically, his attention to detail never disappoints and Strange Shadows also happens to be a well-rounded LP that doesn’t shy from innovation: the vinyl release came in the shape of a circular saw. The record sold out immediately thanks to this peculiarity and became a collector’s item for any horror synth fans and vinyl enthusiasts alike.
Before the close of 2015, Nightcrawler launched Haunted Keys, his first-ever music video, which helped him join the roster at Jagermusic. An extensive summer tour followed at festivals like SOS 4.8 and Lowfest, not to mention live shows at venues like Barcelona’s Sidecar, Sirocco and Villamanuela Fest in Madrid.
In 2016, The Phantom Planet EP was released, with its homonymous single and three remixes by Spanish producers Mynationshit, WLDV (We Love Dolce Vita) and the international powerhouse Antoni Maiovvi, co-founder of Giallo Disco records.
This 2017, the austrian label Electronic Purification Records reissued his first album Metropolis in vinyl and Nightcrawler became part of the artist roster at Silent Booking, playing live shows in Berlin, Vienna and Budapest.

Sol Flare::::
Sol Flare’s 80s-inspired electronica commands your attention – euphoric synths and driving beats provide the perfect support to soaring, soulful vocals.
