Event description

Description

Ofsted have produced a very clear teaching definition. But what does that look like in everyday practice? What evidence will inspectors look for to make a judgement?

Hear views from Ofsted’s Gill Jones (via podcast) and discuss some of their recently released myth busters. Just what are Ofsted really looking for when making the Teaching, Learning and Assessment judgement?

Do all your staff have the confidence to explain to Ofsted and parents how a play-based approach fully supports children's outstanding progress?

If you want to flourish as a group, have loads of fun with the children in your care, and deliver outstanding teaching then join us for this session. These training events are very popular so don’t miss out.

We will:

Discuss each aspect of the teaching definition

Discuss what this looks like for all ages from babies to preschoolers

Use examples from provision to embed understanding

Help you make the links in order to talk confidently about your outstanding teaching to the inspector.

Show how different aspects lead to improved outcomes for children.

Explain how to use the teaching definition effectively during the Ofsted joint observation

Book now for this 3 hour session which will give many practical ideas for meeting the inspection criteria, and the most up to date information.

Delivered by Sandra Woolley (MEd) and Lucy Waterman (BA Hons)

Do you have directions and parking options for the event?

If you come along the A4 from Chippenham, go past the library on your left by the town centre traffic lights, and go straight through the traffic lights. Almost immediately there is a car park turning on your left, in between the row of houses, you will see a blue IN sign. This leads to the pay and display car park. If you miss it, go around the roundabout and back again.

Coming from Marlborough direction along the A4, go past The White Hart on your right (at the double mini-roundabout) and go straight ahead towards Chippenham. (Turn left here if coming from Melksham) Down the short hill, continue right at the roundabout. Very quickly you will see an entrance to a car park on your right in between the houses(go past the blue OUT sign and see the IN sign), If you miss it turn right at the traffic lights, turn round down there and come back. Parking cost £1.50 for three hours.

Walk out of the car park back to the A4 along the entrance lane. Cross over the road and you will see flats behind the river. Walk left (away from the traffic lights) and you will see Marden House just over a bridge. We are upstairs. Any problems ring Lucy 07869 705070
