About this event

The UK's #1 Singles Event

Our Mixed-age Singles Nights are the perfect way to meet singles in real life, but without age being a defining factor.

Join us for our Over 45s Heterosexual Singles Night, where people from all walks of life come together for a fun & relaxed night out!

Your friendly host will welcome you and help you to get chatting with people and ensure you have a great time. Please find them when you arrive so they can check you in to the event and sort you out with your free drink (available in the first 30 mins)😊

With our unique ice-breaker Jenga and conversation starter cards, you'll have everything you need to meet new people effortlessly. Listen for the bell that signals it’s time to switch things up and chat with others!

There’s no pressure to exchange details on the spot—our post-event connection request service gives you the freedom to connect within a few days of the event.

Fancy meeting new people face-to-face? Join us for an evening of laughter, mingling, and the chance to make genuine and quality connections across all ages!

About Single and Mingle

Single and Mingle has proudly connected thousands of singles since launching in 2021.

We are a relaxed mixer for up to 40 people, that allows you to mingle at your own pace.

There's no forced fun, rigid structure or set format - simply turn up and get mingling!

We're here to help you to:

  • find love
  • broaden your social circle
  • have a fun time
  • boost your dating confidence

Everyone at this event is single and dating, so get chatting, have fun, and enjoy getting to know people. And remember, everyone is in the same boat and might be feeling a little nervous, so please be mindful of this.

Connection Request Service

We encourage you to ask for people's details on the night, but if you don't want to or forget, look out for our "Thanks for joining us" email the day after an event. There will be a link to our Connection Request form, inviting you to tell us who you'd like us to pass your details on to. All you have to do is remember the name on their sticker, and we'll do the rest.

So what are you waiting for?

Book your ticket and get yourself out there - you never know who you might meet!

Pre-booking is advised

A small number of tickets might be available on the door. You're welcome to come along and see if there are any left but we recommend emailing hello@singleandmingle.uk on the morning of an event to check as there are no guarantees.

Tickets on the door are £20 and can be paid for in cash or via a QR payment link.

How to get the most out of a singles event

  • Think of our events as a way to broaden your social circle generally, not just to find love (although people obviously do). Many incredible friendships have been formed as a result of our events.
  • Get involved - you will get out what you put in.
  • Talk to as many people as you can, whether they're your type or not.
  • Come with an open mind, an open heart, and a willingness to talk to everyone and anyone.
  • 90% of people attend our events alone, but if you're coming with friends, try to split off from one another, otherwise, you risk not mingling with new people.
  • Try not to sit for too long, or stand with your back to the room.
  • If you're struggling to mingle, come and find your host, who will introduce you to some people.
  • Utilise any available ice breakers or conversation-starters - they're there to help you.
  • Don't measure the success of the event by whether you fancied anyone or not - taste and preferences are very subjective ;-)
  • Keep your eye on your drink - remember you're out with people you don't know!

A few things to note - PLEASE READ

  • Pre-booking is advised.
  • Early bookings are recommended and appreciated - this helps us to manage numbers and the male:female ratio.
  • The format of this event is an informal mixer, allowing you to mingle at your own pace.
  • This is not a speed dating event!
  • Typically our evening socials attract between 22 and 32 bookings.
  • We prefer a more intimate event, so you can expect a maximum of 40 people.
  • An even mix of ladies and gents is not guaranteed.
  • If there are fewer than 18 people booked on we will cancel and transfer or refund your ticket.
  • Want to pay on the door? Please email hello@singleandmingle.uk before 11am on the day of the event to ask if there are any tickets left.

No-Shows - PLEASE tell us if you can no longer attend

Nobody likes a no-show! If you've committed to come along, please do, but we understand that things come up last minute.

If we have 28 people booked onto an event and people don't inform us that they can no longer attend, we are expecting 28 people and so we plan accordingly. Imagine how disappointed you would be if you were at an event and a bunch of people didn't turn up, meaning there were fewer people for you to meet.

🙏 If you've booked a ticket and can no longer attend, do the right thing - PLEASE LET US KNOW. Simply email hello@singleandmingle.uk

Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers

Sometimes we cancel events - that's life. We don't like to, but if we feel there aren't enough people for you to meet, we would much rather cancel than you turn up and be disappointed (we can't do much about no-shows though).

  • Any cancellations will be communicated via email, so please add hello@singleandmingle.uk to your safe-senders list
  • If an event is cancelled due to there being too few bookings, we will offer you a transfer to a future event, or a full refund.
  • In rare situations, an event might be cancelled very last minute. As an example, there was an incident a few doors down from one of our venues which lead to our event being immediately shut down by the police. These kind of situations are out of our control, but we will inform you via email as soon as we can - luckily it's only ever happened once.
  • We get quite a few on-the-day bookings, so we keep ticket sales open until no less than 7 hours before an event.
  • We always recommend checking your inbox before leaving the house, just in case an event has had to be cancelled.
  • Tickets are non-refundable unless Single & Mingle cancel an event.
  • Tickets can sometimes be transferred, but it depends on the capacity of the event you want to transfer to, and that you request your transfer within 48 hours of the event you want to transfer from.

IMPORTANT: Social Etiquette!

  • DO be nice
  • DO be kind
  • DO be polite
  • DO be considerate of others
  • DON'T hog one person all night - let others socialise with them too
  • DON'T assume someone is interested in you romantically just because they're talking to you
  • DON'T assume that someone wants a kiss on the cheek (or more)
  • DON'T be rude
  • And most importantly - if someone says no - they mean NO

Our Zero Tolerance Policy

We are fortunate that our events always seem to attract kind, friendly, and approachable people. However, we have zero tolerance policy - so if you're seen to be breaking any of the above social etiquette rules, you will be asked to leave, without a refund, and will not be allowed back!

Frequently asked questions

Is there parking?

The venue has limited on-site parking. There's also nearby car parks, for example, Sophia Gardens Car Park (CF11 9SZ).

Is the venue accessible?

The event will take place on the ground floor and has disabled access.

What is the dress code?

All of our evening socials operate a smart casual dress code. Some of our venues have tighter dress codes than others - so it's safer to avoid wearing trainers, caps, and sportswear.
