About this event

About this event

Are you a startup founder or entrepreneur who’s passionate about your vision but struggling to sustain your energy? You’re not alone. Burnout is one of the most common challenges on the entrepreneurial journey, yet it often goes unaddressed—until it becomes impossible to ignore.

Entrepreneurs often face burnout when they lack the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate their ventures effectively. It can stem from making hasty, short-term decisions without proper consideration or encountering creative blocks that prevent a systematic approach.

According to Entreprenology, creativity is one of the three core pillars of the entrepreneurial flow state—yet creativity needs space to thrive. When the drive for success overrides the need for play, exploration, and adaptability, burnout follows.

This workshop offers a creative, hands-on approach to understanding, preventing, and recovering from burnout. Using Intermodal Expressive Arts Therapy (EXA), we’ll explore how arts-based practices can help you reconnect with your inner resources, articulate what words alone struggle to express, and find sustainable ways to restore your energy and motivation.
Burnout looks different for everyone, and so do the solutions.

In this experiential session, you will:
- Identify personal signs of burnout and understand what they are communicating.
- Explore creative approaches to prevent exhaustion and sustain energy.
- Learn how to cultivate a workspace that fosters innovation and long-term success.
- Develop resilience strategies to maintain motivation and well-being.
No prior art experience is required. If anything, a beginner’s mind is often an advantage in this process.
Join us to pause, reflect, and realign—so you can continue your entrepreneurial journey with renewed energy and purpose.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any prior experience in art or creativity to attend?

Not at all! This workshop is designed for everyone, regardless of artistic background. No prior experience in painting, writing, movement, or any other art form is required. The focus is on self-expression, not artistic skill. In EXA, we work with the motto “low skill, high sensitivity.”

What is Intermodal Expressive Arts Therapy (EXA) and how does it help navigate burnout?

EXA is a creative, multi-modal approach that integrates different art forms—such as movement, visual arts, music, writing, and photography—to explore emotions, challenges, and personal growth. In this workshop, it helps us understand and address burnout in a way that words alone often cannot.

How does this relate to entrepreneurship?

Burnout is a major issue for entrepreneurs and startup founders, yet it’s often overlooked in the drive to succeed. This workshop provides a creative, experiential way to explore burnout, helping you recognize its signals early and identify personal resources for recovery.

What can I expect during the workshop?

Through guided exercises, self-expression, and reflection, you'll explore the deeper causes of burnout and uncover ways to restore your energy and focus. The session will include a mix of individual and group activities, but you will never be required to share more than you're comfortable with.

Will I have to share my work with others?

Sharing is always optional. The workshop is a safe, judgment-free space, and you are encouraged to participate at your own comfort level.

What should I bring?

Mainly just yourself and an open mind! As the workshop is online, we won't be able to provide materials, so the minimum we ask of you is to bring a notebook, pen, pencil, eraser and blank paper. Any other materials (colored pencils, crayons, markers, paints) are welcome but not compulsory.

What if I don’t consider myself a ‘creative person’?

Creativity isn’t just about making art—it’s about problem-solving, innovation, and finding new ways to navigate challenges. If you’ve ever had to adapt, brainstorm, or think outside the box, you’re already creative. This workshop simply provides a new way to access that part of yourself.
