You Are Not Alone: Understanding & Overcoming Loneliness and Depression
Loneliness and depression can have a significant impact on both your mental and physical health. This course, developed by Onyx Support, is designed to help you better understand these experiences and equip you with practical strategies for managing them. Whether you're facing these challenges yourself or supporting someone else, this training offers both insight and reassurance.
We also explore Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a form of depression that follows a seasonal pattern. Often referred to as “winter depression”, SAD symptoms are typically more pronounced during the colder, darker months. However, for some, symptoms may arise during the summer instead.
Do you struggle to cope during certain times of the year? Would you like to feel more in control of your mental wellbeing through the seasons? This training will help you understand the root causes of SAD, explore ways to reduce its impact, and build a toolkit to support yourself or others, especially in light of the additional pressures brought about by the pandemic.
