Dr Lilas Courtot from Animal Free Research UK will provide an overview of different NAMs and their relevance to human diseases and drug development.

Biography

Lilas is trained as a biomedical engineer and completed her PhD in Cancer Research at the Cancer Research Centre of Toulouse, in France. She started a postdoctoral position at the University College of London in 2020, but quickly decided to take a step back from academia. In 2021, she started to work for Animal Free Research UK. As a science manager in this charity, her role is to support biomedical scientists in their journey towards using more human-relevant technologies that will help finding new or better treatments for human diseases.
