Description

This is an ONS only event.

Writing in ONS course

Writing is a skill that you can continue to develop and often how something has been written is just as important as the subject. This session provides guidance on how to write in ONS - which could be for detailed analysis, complex statistical concepts or short summaries - while adhering to the ONS style guide. It would be useful for new starters as well as for anyone that would like to improve their approach to written communication. Each session is interactive and should offer some useful resources to help with future writing tasks.

This course will:

  • share experiences to support learning
  • offer ideas on clear communication
  • introduce the ONS style guide
  • provide guidance that can be used with future writing tasks
  • consider what it means to write for ONS

Please note: Do not register a place if you have already attended this course.

If you have any accessability requirements or queries contact ESG.Resourcing@ons.gov.uk
