Event description

Description

Black Cultural Archives were donated this fascinating collection by the Smith family, after the sudden passing of Andrew Oxolando Efuntola Smith. Andrew, widely known in the community as “Brother Oxalando” was a musician and drummer with Afrobloc and London School of Samba. He also danced in a group called 10 Percent, at many different events all over London during the early 1980s. Brother Oxalando was Priest, Director of Communications and an active contributor to the Pan Afrikan Society Community Forum (PASCF).

The commemoration will also recall Ras Lloyd Johnson and Sister Mawasi Bojang respectively the late first and Second Chairs of the PASCF. It will also include the launch of two PASCF books on Pan-Afrikanism in their honour. Please come and celebrate the life of Andrew Oxolando Efuntola Smith on the 3rdanniversary of his passing. Free tickets through Eventbrite.
